The Master Program of Tropical Medicine is one of the leading programs in Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga in developing tropical medicine and research in its field. Research activities are centered at the Institute of Tropical Disease (ITD) with a lot of overseas collaborations. The development of the program is strengthened by supports from various branches of science at the Faculty of Medicine. This program was designed to anticipate the needs of the government (especially in the health sector) for the development of competent human resources in treating tropical diseases, as well as the needs of higher education institutions for the development of human resources with competence in management of tropical diseases; it was embodied into two major interests: Clinical Tropical Medicine and Epidemiology of Tropical Medicine. The program’s excellence is further endorsed by its international accreditation from ASIIN, along with international certification from AUN-QA, also by national accreditation from LAM-PTKes.
Our vision is to be a master programme of tropical medicine that is independent, innovative, ethical, excellent at the national and international levels in education, research and community service in 2030.
1. Conducting excellent academic activities in tropical medicine and preparing for national and international competition.
2. Conducting tropical medicine research to support the development of education and community outreach program.
3. Conducting community outreach program to participate in controlling tropical diseases.
