The Specialist Study Program 1 (PPDS-1) of Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery is a specialized doctor education program with a study period of 10 semesters and a study load of 168 credit hours. This education program is under the auspices of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga. The fields studied in PPDS-1 in Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery encompasses 4 major pillars: thoracic surgery, adult cardiac surgery, pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery, and vascular and endovascular surgery.
Becoming an independent, innovative, leading study program at the national and international levels, pioneering the development of medical science and technology in the field of Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery, particularly adult cardiology, pediatric and congenital cardiology, thoracic, vascular, and endovascular, driven by entrepreneurship and humanities, based on religious morals, by 2025.
1.) Organizing and developing academic and specialized education in Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery that is nationally and internationally recognized, based on national values and moral principles.
2.) Conducting basic and applied research in the field of Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery, with innovative world-class excellence rooted in national values and moral principles, to support the development of education and community service.
3.) Devoting expertise in the field of Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular surgical medical science and technology, upholding values of professionalism, entrepreneurship, and humanities for public health.
4.) Independently managing specialized medical doctor study programs effectively by quality oriented institution development, capable of competing nationally and internationally.
