RADIOLOGY SPECIALIST

Program Description

The Radiology Specialist Study Program is part of the Faculty of Medicine at Airlangga University (FK UNAIR) and produces graduates as specialist doctors in Radiology. This program is situated on Campus A and conducts its educational operations at Dr. Soetomo Teaching Hospital, established in 1923, with the launch of the study program in 1980 (according to the Decree of UNAIR Rector No. 07C/U/1980).

 

The Radiology Specialist Program has obtained accreditation certification in 2023 from the Independent Accreditation Institution for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes) with an excellent rating. The curriculum is designed with a study load of 165 credit units and a study duration of 8 semesters, including 1 semester of General Basic Course (MKDU). The Radiology Specialist Program comprises 11 permanent faculty members and 5 adjunct professors, including 2 professors, 3 doctors, and 11 subspecialists in their respective fields. The program has actively engaged in various multidisciplinary collaborations, both within the faculty, between universities, and internationally

Vision

To become an independent, innovative, leading Radiology Specialist Study Program at the national and international levels, a pioneer in the development of medical science and technology, especially in the field of oncological imaging, and to cultivate entrepreneurship and humanities based on religious morality.

Mission

1.) To conduct and enhance the Radiology Specialist Medical Education with world-class excellence, particularly in the field of oncological imaging, based on national values and religious morality.

2.) To conduct basic and applied research in Radiology, especially in innovative oncological imaging, with world-class excellence, rooted in national values and religious morality, in order to support the development of education and community service.

3.) To dedicate expertise in Radiology, particularly in the field of oncological imaging, that is imbued with an entrepreneurial spirit, humanistic values, and religious morality.

4.) To independently manage the Radiology Specialist Study Program effectively, through the development of an institution that prioritizes quality and is capable of competing at the national and international levels.

Objectives

1.) The realization of a Radiology Specialist Medical Education program with world-class excellence, particularly in the field of oncological imaging, based on national values and religious morality.

2.) The establishment of fundamental and/or applied research in Radiology, especially in innovative oncological imaging, marked by world-class excellence and anchored in national values and religious morality, to support the development of education and community service.

3.) The manifestation of devoted service through the knowledge and technology of Radiology, particularly in the realm of oncological imaging, infused with an entrepreneurial spirit, humanistic values, and religious morality.

4.) The autonomous administration of the Radiology Specialist Study Program, achieved proficiently through the development of an institution oriented towards quality, enabling competitiveness at both the national and international levels.
