Medical Education Program Specialized in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University (FK UNAIR) is a Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist study program that has been established since the 1970s under the study program management unit (UPPS) of the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University. This study program has a study period of 9 semesters with a total of 143 credits. The knowledge studied in the Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Specialist Study Program includes 5 divisions : craniofacial; hand, microsurgery, and oncoplasty; burn and wound; external genitalia; and aesthetics.
To become a leading study program at the national and international level, a pioneer in the development of medical science in the field of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, innovation in biotechnology and biomaterials according to developments in the era of society 5.0 and regenerative medicine in 2027
1.) Organizing and developing academic and professional medical education in the field of international-standard reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery.
2.) Carry out basic and applied medical research in the field of innovative reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery in biotechnology and biomaterials according to developments in the era of society 5.0 and regenerative medicine according to medical ethics which can be useful for the development of education and community service.
3.) Devoting expertise in the fields of science in the field of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, biotechnology, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine that can be passed down to the community.
4.) Contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, biotechnology, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine in scientific publications or scientific presentations at the international level.
