Program Description

In conducting a doctorate education program, the guidelines for the Decree of Airlangga University Chancellor Number: 1443/PT.03.On 8 March 1984, the Ministry of Education and Culture adopted the guidelines of Decree No. 0207/U/1987 on 9 April 1987 on the implementation of the Doctorate Education Program in Universities. The groupings of doctorate education programs are tailored to the groupings of sciences developed by the Consortium of Sciences Directorate General of Higher Education in consideration of the resources held by Airlangga University, which are in the fields of science: Health, Law, Economics, Science and Mathematics. and Agriculture (Veteran Medicine)

With the introduction of Law Number 2 of 1989 on the National Education System and Government Regulation No. 30 of 1990 on Higher Education, both the organization and the employment of graduate programs at Airlangga University conform to both regulations. With the Decree of the Chancellor of Airlangga University Number 2444/PT03.H/E/1992 on March 21, 1992, the Faculty of Postgraduate and Dean’s Programs and Assistant Dean were appointed as Director and Assistant Director.

Since Rector Regulation No. 13/H3/PR/2011 was established, the management of the Doctor program of the Medical Science Study Program has shifted to the Faculty of Medicine. In 2017 Airlangga University Rector Regulation No. 1 was issued. On August 14, 2017, the Education Guidelines for Airlangga University’s Research-Based Doctorate Program. The PP Rector is used as the Guidelines for Changing the curriculum in the Medical Science Study Program of Unair Medical Faculty from coursework to research-based.

1. Conducting global competency-based academic and professional education, to produce excellence and entrepreneurial, moral and ethical graduates;

2. Improving the quality and quantity of innovative and internationally recognized basic research, implementation, and policies to support education, devotion and service to the community;

3. Dedicated expertise in science, technology, humanities and the arts to communities with national and international health interests;

4. Develop quality-oriented institutions and be able to compete internationally.

Objectives

1. The realization of superior and innovative graduates, who are able to develop science, medical technology and humanities based on religious morals, and are able to compete at national and international levels.

2. The realization of superior and innovative research that can promote science, medical technology and humanities in national and international circles.

3. The realization of community devotion activities based on reasoning and research work that are useful in advancing public welfare and focusing on nation life, and innovative community empowerment so that people can solve problems independently and sustainably.

4. The realization of independent institutional governance that is oriented towards sustainable quality and able to compete at the international level.
